Wigging out
I went to the Cancer Institute near me this afternoon to check out the wigs available via the American Cancer Society. Trying them on was quite amusing....my hair is too long and thick to try on the things properly! They didn't even sit on my head right, lol. So, it looks like a haircut first. I wasn't too crazy about the selection they had, but I found out about a retailer in Orange City (a few miles from here) that I'll have to check out. Thankfully my insurance covers 90% of the purchase of one. I was told by a nurse that if your hair is thick and the roots are strong, the hair loss may not be as bad. I'll prepare as if it's all going to go AWOL and it will be a pleasant surprise if it doesn't! ;-) Cheers.

Marissa's a wig aficionado. She's gotten pretty good at putting them on and styling them, so she might have some pointers when (if!) the time comes. ;)
