Timing is everything

I seem to pick the worst times to go to the library. Like, when it's closed, and in the middle of the afternoon when the middle school down the road from it just lets out. The place is crawling with kids and the parking lot is full of parents in SUVs waiting to pick up their kids. Makes it kind of hard to maneuver around everything. I must try to plan my trips to the library a little better!

I saw my radiation oncologist yesterday and he sees no problem with getting my port out during rad treatment (as long as I don't miss one, obviously). So now I have to see what my out-of-pocket expense will be and contact my surgeon's office. I think the most important thing is to get this done before my insurance changes March 1st.

I just read an article on the link between consuming soy products and the risk for breast cancer and breast cancer recurrence. It's a well-researched article and it helped clear up a few questions for me. Some areas of this topic are still considered inconclusive, but it did provide some answers. You can check it out for yourself:

(okay, i can't figure out why i can't get this link to display.....check back later)

And I'll take this time to remind the women out there to schedule a mammogram this year if you haven't already! Cheers.
