Hi Sue,

Wow! I missed checking your blog for a few days and a lot has been happening with you. I know it must be real hard to lose you hair even though you knew this would probably happen. We can be totally prepared mentally for something but walking through it is still shocking and painful. We'll be praying for you today.

much love
Rachel and family

PS. I'm reminded of Jo on Little Women when she has her "one beauty" (her hair) cut off because they need the money. Jo is found crying late at night and Beth thinks she is crying for their father who is at war. When asked what is wrong Jo cries out, "My hair!" and they both laugh and cry at the same time at the absurdity of it all. Women! We can walk through tremendous adversity; cancer, war, and much suffering, yet women throughout history have a tough time losing their "crowning beauty" which in the Bible is our hair. I wish I could be Beth and cry with you today
love
Rachel

Ah yes, Little Women....I know I read it eons ago but I only recall the last film version. Was Winona Ryder Jo? Guess I can't recall that very well either. Thanks, Rachel, for the empathy over the temporary loss of my crowning beauty!
